Marriage Appointment Checklist

The following conditions must be fulfilled, prior to scheduling an appt with the Imam for Nikah/Wedding Ceremony.

1. Obtaining an Anne Arundel County Court-House Marriage Certificate (Note: Marriage ceremony must be conducted in the county where the marriage certificate is obtained AND bride and groom must both be present in same room. This document must be provided to the Imam prior to scheduling the Nikah by either texting him a picture or emailing it as an attachment.)

2. A Guardian for the Bride who has communicated with the Imam

3. Agreed Upon Dowry, Stipulated for the Bride

Note: a Marriage Registration Fee/Donation should be paid at time of signing marriage certificate (Exact dollar amount is based on financial situation of groom and bride)
